Thomas Landrain is founder and CEO of La Paillasse, one of the world largest community labs that foster open science and technology. He claims that there is no monopole for great ideas and has been working on re-booting Science for the upcoming era of collective intelligence, within an open framework. He first did a career in academia where he co-founded the first french synthetic biology lab in France at Genopole. He is also founder and CEO of the young startup PILI that uses synthetic biology to biofabricate natural dyes without petrochemisrtry or the agroindustry, by using microorgasisms.
